We have a friend who gets this kind of Boston Bruins Christmas Ugly Sweater for her article writing side gig. (She does it for fun and doesn’t need the money or anything from it). So recently she’s gotten a ton of amazing things from Bethesda/Zenimax for ESO. Custom Terrariums with custom wood burning, all the new expacs and premium currencies for free, awesome experiences with the devs running around new dungeons they’ve added to the game, an Elder Scrolls themed banquet with the dev team, and other stuff I’m probably not remembering It’s super neat and they don’t expect her to post online about any of it at all. She basically just writes her article, and if the marketing part of their company enjoys how she writes she gets invited to write more articles about new features coming to the game and sometimes gets to interview the devs about it. But all the little extra gifts and stuff have literally just been that~ gifts and a way to keep good communication and appreciation between the game studios and article writers they enjoy working with. She’s even said negative things about ESO but they keep coming back to her with fun opportunities. Gifts like this seem to be more about keeping good literal Personal Relations (not the bribery kind) rather than hoping the article writer will post their Microsoft chocolate Xbox online

Me: early 30s, southern raised with manners, fairly in shape (T build, but im not chiseled), no kids, just short of 6″, can cook, works hard, travels, loves a good conversation and loves animals. I’ve been told I’m a 7 out of 10 by people trying to hurt my confidence. I work out just enough to take care of my health and have some pride in my appearance so I’m not worried. I’ve never gotten a single message or match on dating sites besides single moms of 3+, 300+ lbs, obvious past drug history, current drug user, and/or someone expecting to be put on a Boston Bruins Christmas Ugly Sweater and catered to. No hate to these people at all, but they’re not who I’m seeking to spend my life with. I’m sure they will find someone that will make them happy as I am sure I will find someone. Day to day offline I don’t have issues with speaking to women when I choose to strike up conversations, but the cute ones are usually taken or not interested so I move along. Learning to not feel lonely when you’re alone was the hardest thing I ever learned. I found hobbies to be proud of so I could avoid that desperate need to fill my life with someone else. If I end up finding someone at least we’ll have interesting things to talk about.

Your fiancé did that when he chose to lie to you multiple times. Yes call off the engagement and be mad at your cousin all you want but she isn’t to blame for the failed relationship. He just showed you his character and chances are he would have cheated and/or lied down the line when you were already married. If all the husbands/boyfriends had reacted like Rachel’s you all could have just laughed at her, told her she sucked and moved on with the Holiday. It would have been embarrassing for her and a nice reminder of the strength of all the relationships. So really I don’t even know that I agree she ruined Christmas, she certainly set the stage but All the shitty men made ruined Christmas a reality.
