The O line, as always, is going to be the biggest question mark of this offense. Ultimately I think depth wins out

While Justin Fields has been excellent, he has not had to put the teams offensive output on his shoulders quite yet, and this Penn State team is the fastest, most athletic, and talented team that Ohio St has faced so far (however the same is true for Penn State). Penn State’s D generates just enough stops to give our offense a chance, and in response the offense puts all the little things together like winning the ToP, turnover, and field position battle and a couple big plays from Hamler and Freiermuth to pull off the stunner in Columbus 31-30.

I know if I was that fan, the hiring of Franklin wouldn’t have made me excited what with that history in Vanderbilt. God knows Iowa’s had its own struggles with off field problems and the antics of City Boyz Inc. but I want to believe if it reached Alfraud (defender of rapists) levels, my affection for the program would go the same direction it did under Alfraud. But fans don’t have any control over who gets hired in the wake of scandal. If there’s a reason I really dislike PSU now, it’s because franklin seems a real douchebag-asshole. That said, pre-Sandusky, Iowa fans used to have a lot of affection for PSU and everyone I’ve known who has been to Happy Valley loved the experience. Also, a really embarrassing side note to this game is that there are something like 5,000 tickets remaining. That $95 price has kept more than one fan home. Iowa pulled a real bush league move in jacking up that ticket.
