When I was a  forgotten weapons official shirt  , I was super shy and had very few friends. Then I noticed I passed by this one guy every morning and he always had a big smile for me. We never actually spoke, and I had no idea what his name was, but those daily smiles meant the world to me and helped me come out of my shell. Then he was gone. Not long after that, I saw a video (back when MTV actually played videos) for a song I quite enjoyed called “One” by some band I’d never heard of called Metallica. It was a cool video, but very artsy, not showing the individual band members in any amount of clarity. One day my best friend showed me a picture of their bassist in a magazine and said, “You DO know who that is, don’t you?” I about fell over when I realized it was my morning hallway buddy. And he had a name: Jason Newsted.
