Then 3 mile ruck with 1k elevation gain in boots and 50lb pack, fastest time was 38 mins with most of the crew coming in between 40-45. We did our pack test as a morning PT. The slowest time was 31 mins. I came into the season having thru hiked 5,000 miles and run some ultras and was solidly middle of the pack fitness wise. 4 weeks after our season ended I ran a 24hr race with a crew mate. This was his first ultra. We didn’t train up at all. I got 4th with 95 something miles and he did 77. Again, no train up just purely on the conditioning from the season.

If Maxey is able to get by his guy straight up and be able to make that split second pass fairly reliably to the open guy that he created by drawing in help defense, I think that will make him a much more valuable player overall as opposed to having a better handle.
