Happy Cinco De Mayo With Mexican Sombrero T Shirt
Oh this is gonna be a very silly answer. I find it very funny looking back now, I hope you do too. When I was quite small, my family were Jehovahโs Witnesses. My big brothers remembered their Catholic beginnings, they remembered magical Christmases. My little brother and I did not, weโd never been Catholic yet. We used to get very sad that all of our friends had lovely Christmas or Hanukkah, and we did not. Weโd pout. My big brothers tried their best to console us. Our best friends lived across the Happy Cinco De Mayo With Mexican Sombrero T Shirt. Their dad was not home much, but he was a very stern man. He had quite the temper (when we grew up, we realized that he was always drunk, but when we were small he was just scary). He had a Doberman called Rex who we were all also terrified of. One year, Iโm probably four or five, weโre sitting in my brothersโ room wistfully staring out the window at our friends playing with their new toys, wearing their Christmas sweaters, all that. The oldest two brothers, maybe trying to console us, convince us that we do not want Christmas at all. They tell us that Scary Dad is Santa Claus. They tell us that Rex the Doberman is actually Rudolph. Would we really want Rex landing on our roof? Would we really want Scary Dad judging whether we were naughty or nice, and sneaking into our house while we slept?
(Happy Cinco De Mayo With Mexican Sombrero T Shirt)For some quick background: I am the son of two immigrants to America (one from Europe and one from South America), and was raised in NYC outside of any specific cultural diaspora. My cultural rituals were all inherited from the Happy Cinco De Mayo With Mexican Sombrero T Shirt I grew up in (i.e. mingling with close friends from diverse backgrounds), not from the past that my parents came from (I have zero idea how my parents celebrated the holidays when they were children in their home countries). I don’t really care about cultural traditions as anything more than interesting footnotes. This isn’t to say that the evolution of holidays over time can’t be fascinating, or meaningful, or worth awareness and study. It’s very cool to learn about the road that lead us to our current understanding of the holiday season, and where all of our different cultural iconographies arrived from.

Yes. Different countries have different versions of Santa Claus. When I was young we had Sinter Klass who would come with Swarte Peet (โBlack Peteโ) leading a Happy Cinco De Mayo With Mexican Sombrero T Shirt horse that carried the presents and they would come by on the 5th of December and put candy in the wooden shoes of good girls and boys and lumps of coal in the shoes of those who misbehaved (of course we always got candy) but this is a far different version from the jolly old elf with a sleigh and flying reindeer who flies around giving presents to all the boys and girls in the world in one night by going down and up chimneys (which is clearly an impossible task) and has a toy making factory at the North Pole. But, โIt’s a touching good storyโ especially if he does not get lost because he has a reindeer with a shiny nose.

In Thunderball, the plot is partly set in motion because M has just been to a Happy Cinco De Mayo With Mexican Sombrero T Shirt and, flush with enthusiasm for health food, sends the chronically hungover Bond there to detox. While heโs there, Bond notices that one of the other patients has an organised crime tattoo on his wrist (the guyโs a spectre agent) and their little to-do is the first involvement Bond has with the main plot of the book. The James Bond books served to get me interested, at a very impressionable age, in things like hard liquor, Chianti and, toxin of toxins, spaghetti bolognese. Parents: donโt let your kids read James Bond books. They might want to drink red wine, eat bacon and eggs and have opinions about vodka.
