Im sorry that you have experienced this. I had a glow up in my early 20s (also a bad eating disorder) and though I get a lot of attention based on my looks from both men and women, I dont truly see that I am pretty when I look at myself. I do know when I’m thinner, I get more positive affirmations from people(even when I’ve been dangerously thin). I started tying my value to how small I could be or what I looked like. Age is the equalizer though for women often because we all become more invisible and deemed less attractive. Im entering my mid 30s now and though I dont see huge signs of aging, I cant help but know that soon enough that privilege will dwindle. I definitely do not want to be uglier. Though I struggle to love myself, I know I have had privilege since I fit the mold of what people deem attractive enough. Shower products but learned early on that my wife (then girlfriend) loved my clothes and would wear them more than her clothes. So I started throwing more of my dirty laundry into her dirty laundry and she would do some amazing things with cleaning clothes. So she would basically wash all my undies, t-shirts, shorts and long sleeves, fold them and give them back when she would come over again. So I’ve sorta been doing that for a few years by now. My old Reddit account had a I Have Neither The Time Nor The Crayons To Explain This To You Shirt male user name as I mainly used it in video game related subs. I mostly stopped using it about 3 years ago. My current account is I say more neutral to fem leaning and mostly used in small subs (<10K users) but in larger subs that I used to visit on my older account, there definitely has been a change in how people interact with me. I used to comment far more frequently in subs like r/AmItheAsshole but mostly stopped doing that because despite my style of arguing (wild, rambly, not all that coherent sometimes) not changing, I get attacked for my opinions far more often now, with far more downvotes on average. Similar situation when I create posts (again I'm not a master poster but mediocre posts of mine would never be attacked as extremely on my old account).
