I was an apprentice. She was supposed to be training me, over the course of a year, in business administration.I may be a little on the crazy side but my intentions are good shirt alone for the majority of my shift. She didn’t notice that we were receiving considerably less emails than normal for weeks.Why were my replies implicitly bad excuses but hers weren’t? I still struggle to explain things without feeling like I’m just making excuses for being shit. It still makes me cross.

I had something similar happen to me. I got an official warning for not getting a I may be a little on the crazy side but my intentions are good shirttask done. In my response I mentioned it was physically impossible to get that work completed satisfactorily with the deadline he had provided me, as I was covering a few employees on leave on top of my own heavy workload.He then amended the warning as a “communication issue” stating I failed to communicate this to him, and I should have told him I wouldn’t meet the deadline in advance. So I forwarded the numerous text messages, emails and IMs I had sent him about it.He then changed the warning to something that happened 2 years prior (me taking “unapproved leave” – which was actually emergency medical leave signed off by a doctor). I was going to fight him legally on that but found a new job mere days later. He was actually shocked I quit??
