This is just a regular old Fender Deluxe with    I’m a grumpy old woman im too old to fight too slow to run shirt  Strats sound great clean and fender amps make the best clean tones and reverbs. Strats do not sound good with a little gain. The pickups sound too strident and edgy with a little breakup. You need to push deeper into full throated distortion to get past that ratty edge. (notice how Eric Johnson has that “toggle tone” – either very clean or liquid distortion?). The expensive Two Rock / Dumble amps are basically modded Fender amps on the inside and Fender apdopts some of those mods in this amp – one channel is clean and one is mean.
