No unfortunately, the lures are all designed to attract certain specific Pokemon, not all Pokemon of their type. A Italy Jersey Soccer 2020 2021 Italian Italia Football T-Shirt  lure doesn’t help with chikorita. It’s this sort of design choice that makes this game impossible if you’re a pure casual. The rainy lure doesn’t attract piplup or totodile (iirc) but the glacial lure does.Yeah that’s fair. It’s to each their own for caring about the collection challenges imo, I personally wanted to do all of them and have the medal up to max, but that’s now impossible for the rest of the duration of the game. I will say the 80 balls would have been nice.t’s just that RNG being the SOLE reason for being unable to complete a collection challenge despite putting in the effort is what’s so infuriating. It felt like the lure spawns weren’t actually “boosted” like they said they were.I play for several hours a day – my phone sits on my desk so I’ll click on things of interest, run incense, etc. Plus I walk my dogs a few times a day, total 2-3 hours and play as we go.Today I spent the evening walking across town to two different stops for quests Totodile and Piplup. Not only were those quests never near me (I encounter around 20 unique stops on my route each day), even when I checked our quest map there was never one of those on one of the 50ish stops within a 20 minute walk, so they must have been scarce. I’m in a stop-dense city, I can’t imagine trying to do this if my whole town only have 20 stops in it.

This was truly disappointing. I live rural but still went out and collected quite a Italy Jersey Soccer 2020 2021 Italian Italia Football T-Shirt   research quests. Of course only some of those were event tasks and most of them were repeats. I can’t waste lures on this sort of thing because I need them to make Go Fest playable for my community. Had to just resign myself to end up one short and miss out on those valuable pokeballs. Bummer.I completed 20 of the berry tasks before getting a Chikorita on the 21st. Assuming an even 1/3 distribution of rewards, the odds of that is around 0.01%, or about 1 in 10,000.That in itself is discouraging but not unreasonable (millions of people play this game, so a good handful would be expected to be this unlucky).Except that these tasks aren’t rolled on a player-by-player basis. They’re fixed for everyone in the area. So every single player who walked my daily route didn’t get a Chikorita until the 21st task on the last day.It took me forever to complete, i kept getting Totodile and Cyndaquil while missing Chikorita, even finding the right research took a huge amount of spins. This is in spite of playing for many hours and even camping lures for 3-4 hours too. I ended up completing it with 4 minutes to go, and it wasn’t even through the event research, i got a random chikorita from a normal power up 5 pokemon task.With the new proof that RNG isn’t RNG in this game anymore at least in regards to raid catching, i’m starting to think that Niantic is subtly trying to prolong the challenges with a frustrating skew to decreased odds of finding the pokemon you need.
