It bothers me a lot cause it kinda feels like people are laughing at something I really love. Like Insidious, when you see the red demon dude, the big reveal just feels so silly it was hard to take seriously and I’ll confess that I laughed. I’d say the same with Sinister, a really solid tense and atmospheric movie till they do the “big reveal” of the bad guy and he’s a jump scare that just looks fucking stupid.Feel free to hate people who laugh at horror movies but you gotta admit some of these films definitely set us up to fail.
