My kids are kids. I love them to bits, but sometimes they have a hard time with their emotions, sometimes they struggle to share, sometimes they do rubbish things. They are learning, pushing boundaries and hopefully growing into half decent adults. My children both have autism, and tend to take things very, very literally. Don’t play games with Christmas cards. The entire tradition is going by the wayside, as it is. The ex probably feels bad enough about the kids, and you, to have it interfere with his holiday.
