As a Tooth alumni I totally agree with you but am a little conflicted. Yea their PT standards are absurd and don’t necessarily translate to theOriginal ice Nine Kills Silence Goes To College Shirt However, it requires everyone to train enough where they’re less likely to have issues on the line. I’ve always looked at it as I’m not training to get some PT score, I’m training so I’m not a liability to the crew. With that being said, Sawtooth has had a solid reputation for a long time so I’d say there is some method to their madness. Fitness is one of the best things you can measure that indirectly tests discipline, work ethic, etc. That in turn is a good predictor of how you’ll perform the rest of your work. And it’s something you can test day 1. Guy shows up running a 10 min mile and can’t do 5 pullups, he clearly wasn’t disciplined in the off season so he’ll most likely not be a disciplined worker during the season. Or not nearly as disciplined as someone coming in at peak condition.
