They champion a Confederate flag and the history of pro-slavery states, but insist its not about racism while they come up with more and more ways to dehumanize black people and take credit for any strides they’ve made in this country. People who deny the Civil War was about slavery, but also want the entire USA to still get credit for “freeing the slaves”. People who claim minorities are given everything, but are terrified of becoming anything near a minority. People who want to make those times seem like some big job training program, but then want to ban any book in a school or library that says what actually happened. DeSantis is the face of the actual modern KKK movement. I honestly don’t know how to draw any different conclusion from the sheer amount of stuff he and his administration does and says. It’s completely about white Christians dominating.

If you get a bad one the first time around that doesn’t work or vibe well with you, don’t give up and assume that is just how therapy is. Find a good therapist that you’re comfortable talking with. If you’re not comfortable talking to them, you won’t share what you need to and won’t get the results you need or are looking for. Also, there is no need to look at therapy as something to be ashamed of, or that there is anything wrong with you for seeking it. A lot of the most successful people in the world have therapists, because they realize it’s helpful to have someone to talk with to help keep them on the path they want to follow, and to help them make sense of things and to make the best possible decisions on important matters. Therapy isn’t a bad thing. It’s a smart thing. And recognizing you could use help, and seeking the best possible help you can get is an intelligent decision. After all, is that not why you came here with this question? The last thing I have to say is that if you’re looking for help or answers to questions etc, free advice is always the most expensive. Meaning the advice you get from people who are not professionals in the area you’re seeking advice about, who are willing to advise you for free, will cost you the most in the long run by giving you poor advice and recommendations. They may mean well, but they may also be stupid, or just not knowledge about that specific topic. People who charge for for their advice, do so because they know their advice is valuable and will be beneficial for you. Kind of one of those you get what you pay for kinda deals. I wish I had the time and money to pay for a good therapist right now lol. If I had the bank account to do it, I’d have Jordan Peterson on speed dial. Nothing makes me happier than to see someone who grew up with nothing, get their hands on some good advice or knowledge and completely change their lives and consequently create positive change in the lives of everyone around them.
