But I think people aren’t selling that this is his first true road game enough. The Game he came in cold, i don’t think Michigan could have expected or prepared for that. And I know the TCU game was in Dallas but as we saw, that was an embarrassingly heavy tOSU crowd. Haskins looked at home in Dallas and it felt like the entire team was. I’m curious to see how he fairs in his first true road start in some adversity. Because this is expected to be a shootout it’ll be a battle of both defenses overexceeding expectations of course. I think a FG wins it.

I’d be surprised if Michigan blows out this Penn State team, though I’d also be surprised to see the away team win. The game is not one sided, and both teams have momentum at different points, but ultimately a combination of home field advantage, Michigan’s talent edge on offensive, and Frames Janklin’s in game coaching allows Michigan to pull ahead and they win something like 24 – 13. If I’m wrong it’s probably because PSU is either murdering our linebackers, our backup RT is a turnstyle, or because things get weird with turnovers/redzone roulette/injuries. Would be very happy to hear a PSU fan’s take on my prediction, let me know if any of you see a major flaw in my analysis.

Against Pitt, we jumped out to a 14-0 lead then coasted for the next half hour; meanwhile, Pitt took the air out of the ball, and while our defense didn’t break, it certainly let Pitt rack up looooooong drives. I’m very worried about Penn State’s run D, especially its linebackers, and if Marcus Allen can’t cheat into the box, there will be big holes for Wadley. I’m still fairly confident that we win, if only because I think Joe Moorhead knows exactly how to pick apart the Iowa D, but if it goes south early, we’ll be in for a long night.
