Romantic and platonic relationships are hard for me and I’ve always assumed it’s because at first glance, it looks like something is wrong with me and people don’t want to deal with me or be seen with me. It’s isolating. But I have managed to find my partner and we’ve been together for almost 4 years. So it is possible to find someone who loves you for who you are, as you are. I’m glad I never saw the posts you’re referencing too. I get the sentiment but people need fi realize the impact of Shadows club what we do in the shadows shirt words and the privileges they have.

Now post transition, being out on Reddit, I have gotten creepy DMs from guys telling me ways they wanted to have sex with me and one guy who lived near me who tried to solicit sex with me IRL, as well as tons of comments from TERFs calling me all kinds of nasty things for being trans. Yeah, it’s a bit of a shock. I guess this is how it’s gonna be going forward. None of this will ever push me to ever want to detransition but man for all the Shadows club what we do in the shadows shirt here who have been dealing with this longer than me, it’s got to be exhausting and I’m sorry.

I actually did exactly this two years ago! I picked a Shadows club what we do in the shadows shirt  that was a common woman’s name. I subscribed to all the same subreddits that I normally follow (regional and technology subreddits, mostly), and posted using exactly the same voice I normally use. I used it off and on during those two years at a level I would characterize as moderate to heavy. I was never asked if I was male or female, so I never volunteered that information. I found that I got much, much more karma. This account is in the 14-year club, and I am gaining comment karma so much faster in the Shadows club what we do in the shadows shirt. Post karma, too, although I’m not a big poster in either account. On the whole, I would say that I’m treated much better when people see a traditional female username. People are more willing to interact with me, reward my comments, and are less likely to argue with me — even on the extremely technical IT subreddits.
