This is great information! I work in a jail that is literally falling apart. They can purchase more perks with funds on their books. We have dorm style housing, 23/1 (locked down 23 hours, out for one hour), and isolation housing for all inmates, male and female. We have medical staff, mental health staff, and Re-Entry services staff(me). Again, appreciate your insightful post OP!! Hope you don’t ever have to return there!!

Okay, cool. You be wise and smart for electing not to fall into the Slow Down But It Sloth Black Ugly Christmas Sweater” of supporting any cause at all, not even the causes of equal rights, the reduction of rampant wealth inequality, the reduction of entrenched bigotry, protections for workers and consumers, protection of the environment so that the human race doesn’t die out… I mean, I could go on. There are just so many things that you’re way too cool for, and way too wise to make alliances about because those darn progressives must surely be less than 100% correct about everything while those adorable little reactionary rascals surely can’t be 100% wrong (but bless their hearts, they’re tryin’!) I mean hey, look at how wrong the progressives and liberals were about ending segregation, or ending the criminalization of consensual sex between adults, or making sure car companies actually had to add safety features to cars and stop poisoning the entire country with lead fumes. So wrong. Well, okay, maybe not so wrong, but at least not 100% correct. Well… But, you know, they were, uh, kind of annoying about it, I guess? I mean, they certainly weren’t as cool as you, that’s for sure. And isn’t that just another way of saying they weren’t 100% correct after all? All sarcasm aside, your rambling is bad and you should feel bad. If I received this letter at a news outlet I’d be too exhausted by it to even laugh derisively.

This is so beautiful. My mother currently has cancer and is recovering. It’s good so far; she has Stage 2 breast cancer which has a Slow Down But It Sloth Black Ugly Christmas Sweater rate and she is also doing well with her treatments. However, sometimes I find myself wondering what I would have felt and done if she had a terminal illness instead, and my heart broke at the thought of people who had them and their loved ones. Your story is such and will always be a huge comfort to these people, even to us whose loved ones are still continuing their battle and for that, I am immensely grateful. To all people who lost their loved ones to cancer, I cannot imagine your pain but I hope that you eventually find your peace.
