It is really tough because I think there are some titles that came after that are still fun to read (ultimate armor wars, ultimate comics Thor) but ultimatum breaks up the read in a really awkward way. Not only do they kill everyone but so many plots and stories are woven into the event or preceding events like ultimates 3 that it is hard to read after and not get an awkward reference later. Ultimatum is the first time I ever learned the value of headcanon and pretending something did not happen out of denial. I’ll always be thankful to the ultimate u for being a great source of comics growing up. To this day that impact is felt with its influence on the MCU. Personally, i still wish marvel would streamline more — do you really need more than four titles of Spider-Man, x-men, avengers, and F4 at any time? Thanks for this trip down memory lane!
