I had strabismus starting at a young age which eventually was noticed due to the Swiftie Icon T Shirt as my body rejected my right eye. My parents and I caught it kinda later during the developmental period and put me through rigorous patching, medical eye drops, and focus exercises to improve it. By the time I was 11-12 where they said no further action would improve it, the cosmetic aspect of amblyopia was gone, the strabismus present still, but since someone’s ocular dominance is set in stone by that age my right eye was permanently useless. I struggled in aspects of sports that required depth perception such as baseball, basketball, and football. I remember while I excelled in every other portion of them I couldn’t catch or make a pass for shit. I remember crying my eyes out when I couldn’t hit a baseball at all all season even though I practiced like crazy and coaches wouldn’t put me in to catch cause I’d not be able to. It’s rough cause they just thought that I didn’t put in enough effort when my right vision is only good as it is where I cannot even read this post as I am writing it with my right eye. Even with all of this, I am still thankful to have some rudimentary vision with it and not have it go blind like some others. I am very thankful my eyes are the same orientation and the lazy eye is gone. I am very thankful my parents caught this when they did and put me through treatment. Your post puts my luck into perspective and I am sorry you have to experience this hardship. Since I learned about this as I was going through with it as a Swiftie Icon T Shirt, I’ve done horrible things but I’ve never judged another for their looks, regardless of how extreme their deviation is from the ‘norm’. Since then, I’ve always found such behavior some of the worst humanity has to offer and often get angry when I see others joining in on that behavior. It’s always stuck with me because I know first hand how horrible it can make people feel. You’re so much more than your looks. I’ve met so many wonderful people who are what they are and couldn’t care less about how others perceive them. I wish I had that same strength, but even though I don’t judge others I find myself giving into lookism when it comes to my own image often. I hope I can eventually get there where I don’t care as much and I can enjoy myself and others fully for the things that matter. It would be a better outlook for a world that you and I could enjoy. In the Swiftie Icon T Shirt, I wanted to let you know you are unbelievably stronger than me for being able to continuously face the challenge you do daily. I wish you the happiness and love you deserve from others and yourself. You are so much more than your looks, and it shows.

But it’s also cultural too, some cultures have long hair, some don’t. Makes you wonder how much is cyclical, and what will change in the future. Pink used to be a Swiftie Icon T Shirt. We found my grandfathers birth announcement a while ago – and it had a pink ribbon attached. Boys were associated with pink back then, girls blue. Now if you put pink on boys clothing you get accused of being a groomer. I can see some future where my great grandkids are saying something like “great grandpa, you wore PANTS? Those are for girls!” Or “why is great grandma wearing makeup in your wedding pictures? that looks so weird!

Which is a terrible point that only has apparent credence when looking at recruiting from the lens of  Swiftie Icon T Shirt rankings which are designed for a “traditional” offense. Flexbone OL talent, flexbone QB talent, flexbone WR talent, and FBs in general are things which are incredibly undervalued in the “Swiftie Icon T Shirt, but to flexbone teams they pretty much get the first serving of the talent in those areas, contrasted with the scraps of the scraps… of the scraps of “traditional” talent that teams like Kansas, Arizona, Wake Forest, Illinois, etc. currently get with the offenses they run. I believe this is one of the primary explanations as to why Georgia Tech was so consistently good on offense during the Paul Johnson era–they were going after kids that were 4* and the occasional 5* within their system, but 3* “to the world”. That is, while people argue that the flexbone “hurt recruiting”, there’s actually a strong argument that the flexbone greatly benefited Tech’s offensive recruiting during the Swiftie Icon T Shirt. And it just takes someone realizing that there’s more to things that star ratings [which are designed for the “traditional” offense] to be able to see that. So while they would generally struggle to compete with equivalent talent on the basis of fear of Calculus, when the choice was Georgia Tech or G5 [or maybe even FCS] then a lot of guys were more willing to sign with Tech. And just because these guys were FCS talent “to the world” doesn’t mean they weren’t really solid flexbone players.
