Does every ghost have a different set of motives that they feel need to be fulfilled? I guess there are a lot of things out there that will be forever unexplained. We’re restrained by the rules of the living world and can only think in those terms. It could be that there really is no reasoning for supernatural phenomena, and trying to box things into a realm of logic and terminology that our earthly world provides is futile. I loved this story. I hope that this experience wasn’t enough to shake you from living in what sounds like an otherwise beautiful home. In a way, you’ve been granted something that few people can share and experience, and that’s pretty special. This might sound strange, but maybe if you live here long enough, the spirit will start to feel like family to you, twisted as that sounds. Since there’s a “solution” to the winter spirit, maybe there’s a solution to the other three seasons as well. It probably wouldn’t hurt to try to do a little more research to see if there’s anything related to strange lights or bears or harvests or scarecrows. The man being chased by the bear seems like someone who was an actual person at some point and he just doesn’t remember who he is. The history of the area might shed some light on who he is and maybe you can find out what he’s looking for like you did with these guys. I’ll bet if you try to appease the spirit in some way, it will be a little kinder to you. Wonderful, wonderful story. I looked to my left and saw Bridger, still staring up at the The Big Lebowski The Dude Abides Ideas Ugly Christmas Sweater Gift Thanksgiving to the east. I watched him until the sun came over the mountain, when he looked over at me with… despair, desperation, exhaustion. It was the most emotion I’d ever seen on him. He looked like a man who was actively losing his mind, aware it was happening. What in the hell is going on? Is the spirit torturing them too? Is the spirit ripping its hooks into their brains at sunrise and sunset? It hit me then. Hard. The realization came to me and I almost wept as the clarity of it connected detail, memory, everything Joe’d said, everything I knew deep down; like an angelic little mailman tearing through my synapses. How could I have been so fucking stupid? I stood up shakily, and walked to the shop. I plugged in my skillsaw, cut two shapes out of a piece of plywood, spray-painted em black, ripped a door off the white cabinets on the wall, and screwed the shapes into it. I screwed that into a 2×4, grabbed a sledgehammer, and ran back into the yard. I got to the shed near the back gate, pulled everything out into the snow, and hammered out the back wall that faces east toward the mountain. I drilled the 2×4 into the eave of the shed, elevating the cabinet door and symbols above the yard, visible to all.

I bought myself a The Big Lebowski The Dude Abides Ideas Ugly Christmas Sweater Gift Thanksgiving of black cotton overalls that looked like linen and I LIVED in them last year. I loved it so much that I bought myself a purple pair. I wore them with tees, tanks, long sleeves, and I even wore crop tops for the first time since high school.I had a rough year last year. I lost my dog, my mother, and a best friend of 20 years. On top of that I tore the meniscus in my knee and had to use a rolling walker and cane for 6 months, and I’m in perimenopause. I loved finding something comfortable that I could adjust to my current mood. I could dress them up with a boatneck top, flats, and simple jewelry or dress all the way down with an athletic bra and tennis shoes. Plus it allowed me to cover my brace, but be able to access it in case of adjustment. Sorry about the ramble! Thinking of aging and comfort made me think of my favorite versatile pieces and how much I’m looking forward to it being warm enough to wear them again.
