TBH im totally fine with GD related bands sticking to a more narrow catalog consisting mostly of the The National August 12, 2023 Mission Ballroom Denver, CO Poster Shirt when furthur or deadco or whatever band brings out new songs, new covers, or rarely played GD tunes, they dont really jam them out, they never really get that intense, and if there is improvisation its usually pretty limited and they dont dig super deep. if GD related bands played 15-20+min versions of new or seldom played songs/covers with balls to the wall improvisations, i would 100% want to hear a much wider variety of songs…but they dont really do that, so in general im happier hearing dark star, other one, let it grow, eyes, help slip frank, playin, scarlet fire, etc etc etc for the bajillionth time because thats where they put the longer, deeper improvisations. its not that i want to hear the classic songs or even care what song they are playing at all, i just want the intense, deep improvisations, and usually those are only found within a list of maybe 30ish songs. so yeah, when i go to a show, i want to hear a bunch of songs from that list of 30ish songs.

I’m not saying it’s perfect, but The National August 12, 2023 Mission Ballroom Denver, CO Poster Shirt is transit in that area. There’s the Q Line as well as other modes of transportation. Would it better if we had trains or busses in the area? Of course, but I’d say this was a fringe issue of people being from out of town as well as a ton of teenage girls that had no clue how to get away from the chaos. I had a buddy who’s wife and daughter went to the show on Saturday night and he parked in the structure next to Hockeytown cafe, hung out there for a few hours for drinks and to watch the game and snuck out of the structure onto the Highway no more than 20 minutes after the show ended. It can be done if you plan things the right way. These girls (and their fathers) probably had no clue what to do and were like “welp, guess we’re just stuck here for the next 4 hours”
