To Thanks Impermanence Everything Is Possible Shirt
I think one of the To Thanks Impermanence Everything Is Possible Shirt things you’re forgetting “support Black businesses” doesn’t mean don’t shop elsewhere. It doesn’t mean that if you don’t shop or have never shopped at a Black business, you’re not a good person. The phrase isn’t an attack on white people and white owned businesses. It just means they if you’re in the area one day and you’re craving some food and you’ve got say a Burger King and a local black owned restaurant as your two options, see if you like the menu of that restaurant and give it a go. The term just encourages people to consider the Black owner, and other non-white small businesses, because they have a disproportionately more difficult time starting and maintaining businesses because of things like loan approval and community support. It just means don’t forget about the local hidden gems owned by people of color in your area and if you seem to like what they’re selling, try giving them a go. The most important thing is that small businesses and local independent business owners all need our support, and we’re not attacking our white community members by excluding them from the phrase. This phrase just calls attention the added difficulty POC business owners face especially in times of hardship.

I (black) had a similar conversation with a co-worker (white). I explained that To Thanks Impermanence Everything Is Possible Shirt uncommon, for example, for jewish communites, spanish communities, asian communities to spend money at businesses respective of their communities. it’s extremely common, it’s just that “support black businesses” doesn’t come across with.. grace.. to someone who doesn’t get it. I live down the street from a decent sized jewish community, and I I smile everytime I pass them at their shops and storefronts. I live in an area with a lot of mexican shops and restaurants, ones where you have a problem ordering if you don’t speak a little spanish, and most of their customers are spanish speaking, and I think it’s beautiful…
