I continued to like them with their next album. I think And Justice For All was their greatest album. I think it was their most ambitious album. They were really pushing themselves to see what they could do at that time. They were the headliners on that tour.Their next album was much more simple than what they had been doing and a lot of their original fans were let down. I don’t think they’ve ever reached the heights they did on Master of Puppets or And Justice For All again. Most bands hit a peak; they don’t get better with each album for their entire careers. I’ve never seen any band do that. Metallica still release some good albums, but not of the quality they did when they were at their peak.

Actually they only played one song, Seek & Destroy….and It. Was. Awesome. Even though they are older than they were when it was recorded, they still shred. And yes, it sounded way better than on the album. Sure it wasn’t studio-perfect, but being right in it, and being blasted by it, especially in a smaller space, is an experience I will hold on to for the rest of my life.
